Well, right before it got cold we got to take the kids out on a friends boat! We had a great time but as you can see, Ana wasn't so sure at first!
After a while they both were having so much fun that they didn't want to go home!
Ana's top two teeth came finally came in but the bottom 2 are just starting to push forward. I hope this is it for teeth for a while! Alek is doing fine and in need of a haircut already! And he is amazing with puzzles! He barely even looks at the pieces and puts them right where they are supposed to be! He's doing puzzles that are meant for 3-5 year olds in a matter of seconds!!!
Today Ana scratched her Cornia on the computer desk and we had to run out to the Doctor. We go back today to have the patch taken off. Luckily the cornia heals in about 24 hours if you don't blink your eye. It's been hard to keep the patch on. Not because of Ana but because Alek keeps trying to pull it off and put it on his face!!!
It's amazing to think that almost exactly 2 years ago we started trying to start our family. Little did we know that Anastacia & Aleksander were already born and living in hospitals all alone in Ukraine. You just never know what the future holds...

Just a follow up to the other day: We went back to the doctor 24 hours later and Ana's eye was totally healed! Kids heal so fast! And grow fast too! (As long as we were there, I figured they should get weighed & measured too!) In only one month, Alek grew 2 more inches and Ana gained almost 3 lbs.! Look at how much they've grown:
Ana 5/25/00 | Ana 10/11/00 |
15 lbs. 6 oz. | 24 lbs. 10 oz. |
28" tall | 31 3/4" tall |
Alek 5/25/00 | Alek 10/11/00 |
22 lbs. 6 oz. | 32 lbs. 5 oz. |
30 1/2" tall | 36 1/4" tall |
And I forgot to mention that Ana has started calling Alek "Alie" for some reason and Alek keeps trying to "disect" Ana on his workbench with his toy power tools!!!
